When someone enters Congress they swear an oath. That oath is below. I have decided to write an additional oath. I will swear this after swearing my oath of office. I will have a judge, and a Bible, and swear this oath. The citizens of South Carolina deserve something better. Someone who wants to serve them, not himself. If anyone feels there is something missing, please email me with suggestions. Thanks.

Oath of Office

I, Joe Reynolds, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.

Additional Oath of Office

I, Joe Reynolds, do solemnly swear that I will not fundraise while in office. I will neither solicit nor accept campaign funds, nor fundraise for any candidate or party or organization. I will not seek re-election, nor will I ever run for Senate again. Upon leaving office I will not accept any money for speaking. I will neither seek nor accept any financial gain from my service as Senator. I will serve only the constituents and the interests of South Carolina, and the United States of America. So help me God.
